Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By adding Mayor's Bot ("the Bot") to your Discord server or using any of its features, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Bot. These Terms apply to all users, server administrators, and any person who interacts with the Bot.

2. Description of Service

Mayor's Bot is a Discord bot that provides translation, moderation, leveling, music playback, ticket management, live counters, stream alerts, activity trackers, reaction roles, action GIFs, and other server management features. The Bot is accessed through Discord and configured through the web dashboard at mayorsbot.com.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction) to use the Bot, consistent with Discord's own Terms of Service. By using the Bot, you represent that you meet this age requirement.

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use the Bot for any illegal purpose or to violate any laws
  • Abuse, exploit, or attempt to disrupt the Bot's services
  • Use the Bot to harass, threaten, or harm other users
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Bot
  • Use automated scripts or bots to interact with the Bot in a way that degrades service quality
  • Circumvent rate limits, plan restrictions, or security measures
  • Use the Bot to distribute spam, malware, or phishing content

5. Service Availability

We strive to maintain 24/7 uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The Bot may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, Discord API outages, or other factors beyond our control. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time without notice.

6. Premium Plans & Payments

Certain features require a paid subscription ("Premium Plan"). Premium Plans are billed on a recurring basis. You may cancel at any time, but refunds are not provided for partial billing periods. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Free credits expire if unused for 12 months.

7. User-Generated Content

You are solely responsible for any content you create, submit, or process through the Bot, including but not limited to messages, translations, ticket content, registration data, and tracker entries. We do not claim ownership of your content. You grant us a limited license to process and store your content solely for the purpose of providing the Bot's services.

8. Third-Party Services

The Bot integrates with third-party services including Discord, Google Translate, OpenAI, Tenor, nekos.best, waifu.pics, Twitch, YouTube, Kick, Telegram, SoundCloud, and Top.gg. Your use of these services through the Bot is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the availability or content of third-party services.

9. Global Reputation System

The Bot includes a cross-server reputation system that tracks moderation actions. By using the Bot's moderation features, you acknowledge that infractions may affect a user's global reputation score visible to other servers using the Bot. Server administrators are responsible for fair use of moderation tools.

10. Intellectual Property

Mayor's Bot, its name, logo, code, and design are the intellectual property of their respective owners. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the Bot without express permission.

11. Limitation of Liability

THE BOT IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, REVENUE, OR PROFITS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE BOT.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Mayor's Bot and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Bot or violation of these Terms.

13. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or restrict your access to the Bot at any time, for any reason, without notice. You may stop using the Bot at any time by removing it from your Discord server. Upon termination, your right to use the Bot ceases immediately.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Bot after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be announced via our Discord support server or website.
